RESPONSIBILITIES

 

 

 

LALIGA, the club association representing the top two tiers of men’s professional football in Spain, is seeking an experienced candidate for the role of International Delegate for Thailand. This is a full-time position based in Bangkok.

 

We are looking for a talented and strategic individual to join our team as the delegate in THAILAND.

 

You must be a highly motivated candidate with proven intercultural communication skills and prior experience in the sport/entertainment industry, who can support multiple facets of LALIGA’s work. Based in Bangkok, the selected candidate will play a key role in driving initiatives to enhance LALIGA’s visibility, engage local fans, and increase the overall presence of the clubs in the region.

 

 

The delegate’s tasks can be divided into the following categories:

 

 

Market Analysis, Research, and Reporting

 

Creation of regular or ad-hoc reports, both reactive and proactive: audiovisual, competitive analysis, benchmarking, communication, digital, and other areas of interest for LALIGA.

 

 

Broadcaster Relations

 

Maintain close relationships and provide support to LALIGA’s broadcaster in the territory.
Identify projects, forms of collaboration, and joint campaigns to promote LALIGA on the broadcaster’s various platforms in each territory.
Antipiracy efforts. Gather information on actions that damage LALIGA’s product: piracy, card-sharing, illegal websites, counterfeit products, illegal betting, etc.

 

 

Media Relations

 

Maintain relationships with media outlets, encouraging coverage of LALIGA and its clubs, and create synergies between them.
Apply the company’s communication and digital strategy in the region.
Maintain relationships with the regional communication agency.
Create and propose relevant content for the local market.
Distribute and place content from the Communication Department in the media.

 

 

Events and Activation

 

Launch international events. Design, execute, and/or support LALIGA’s events in the country.
Ensure the best presence at LALIGA events in the country.
Identify and develop opportunities and partnerships in various fields: sports projects, women’s football projects, foundations, etc.

 

 

Club Support

 

Local market support: identify and explore opportunities.
Support during tours and international matches.
Identify potential partnerships with international clubs.

 

 

Marketing and Sponsorship Management

 

Explore new business models and forms of activation.
Events and activations with sponsors: organization and support.
In coordination with the commercial department and regional office, seek opportunities to develop or license LALIGA projects, products, or services in the destination country.
Events and activations with sponsors: organization and support.

 

 

Institutional Relations

 

Strategic partnerships with leagues and/or federations in the country. Strategic partnerships with other institutions.
Represent LALIGA at institutional events.
Institutional relations with Spanish entities in the territory: embassies, chambers of commerce, etc.

 

 

 

 

Requirements:

 

 

 

The ideal candidates shall meet the following criteria:

 

 

Location

 

Residence and work experience in Thailand.

 

 

Languages

 

Very high level of English.
Highly valued: Thai.
Highly valued: Spanish.
Highly valued: additional languages.

 

 

Education

 

Completed university education: Degree/BA/Engineering.
Valued: Master’s degree.
Valued: Academic training in Sports Management, etc.

 

 

Other Requirements

 

Previous international experience is valued.
Experience in the region (Southeast Asia) as well as in the market of the position: Thailand or neighboring countries (Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia) is valued.
Experience in business development positions is valued.
Experience in positions within the sports industry is valued. o Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience.
