Main goal
The UEFA Marketing division is responsible for maximising interest in UEFA competitions, their audiences and their commercial value. Its main areas of activity are branding, marketing and fan engagement, commercial rights development, sales and delivery, broadcast and content production, and commercial partner services.
Reporting to the Chief of Marketing Activities, with significant exposure to the commercial leadership team, the Senior Marketing Strategy & Insights Manager holds a high-impact collaborative, strategic role and makes a visible contribution to shaping the future of UEFA’s marketing approach.
Key responsibilities
Supporting senior leadership with fact-based decision-making on marketing strategy:
Identifying and evaluating new growth opportunities
Converting insights into clear, practical, executive-ready recommendations that inform strategic and commercial decisions
Preparing executive-ready business cases, strategic scenarios, recommendations and presentations
Acting as a trusted strategic sparring partner to senior stakeholders
Translating strategic ambition into clear change programmes:
Driving the delivery of cross-functional strategic marketing initiatives (digital fan engagement, non-live content monetisation, direct-to-consumer offers)
Turning strategic ambitions into clear, achievable roadmaps, priorities and execution frameworks
Leading and developing the research and monitoring function that reports to the Senior Marketing Strategy & Insights Manager, setting clear priorities, standards and ways of working
Ensuring the research team consistently delivers decision-relevant insights:
Delivering audience measurement, broadcast monitoring, sponsorship valuation and consumer research
Tracking industry trends, competitive dynamics, consumer behaviour and technology shifts
Communicating findings in a clear and compelling way
Building a strong insights-driven culture across the organisation
Requirements
Experience
8+ years of progressive experience, ideally including senior consulting experience, strategy or equivalent strategic roles combined with senior operational in-house positions
Strong background in media, entertainment or digital platforms
Proven experience of leading complex strategic initiatives, from strategy design to operational execution
Experience of managing teams and external partners
Education
Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field such as economics, business, strategy, marketing or analytics, or equivalent senior-level experience in strategic roles
Languages

– Proven experience of leading and enhancing research and insights capabilities to support senior decision-making
– Strong strategic thinking and analytical capability
– Excellent storytelling and executive level communication skills
– Structured, collaborative, outcome-oriented and comfortable with ambiguity
– International mindset and experience working in global environments
– Relocation to Switzerland or neighouring France if not already in the area
