Founded in 1882, Tottenham Hotspur Football Club is an English Premier League Club, based in North London.

JOB PURPOSE

 

 

 

The HR Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day HR generalist functions of the Human Resources department, ensuring the smooth running of HR operations and providing essential support to employees and management for the full employee life cycle. This role involves administering employee records, assisting with recruitment, managing HR documentation, and coordinating various HR activities and HR projects. You will ensure that as a Club we are fully up to date with all paperwork, processes, and compliance.

You will represent the HR function credibly and positively by providing a proactive,

intuitive and customer-minded service to employees and candidates. You will have a

key role in being a role model for the Spurs Way by encouraging maximum engagement and buy-in from across all departments and work with a variety of stakeholders to make a positive impact on the learning culture of the Club.

 

 

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

 

 

Recruitment and Onboarding

 

Assist and support the Talent Acquisition Team in the recruitment process including approvals, posting job ads and coordinating timely communication with stakeholders for roles
Manage the onboarding process for all new starters including including conducting new starter induction when required
Working with the Talent Acquisition Team to ensure that relevant checks are completed for all new starters
Complete DBS checks for all new starters (permanent, volunteers & casuals) including verifying DBS documents
Complete all reference and qualification checks for new starters
Ensure right to work checks are completed for all new starters (permanent employees & casuals)
To be fully conversant with the safer recruitment requirement, guidelines and
To chase employers for references, the DBS service, the employee and all those involved in the compliance for each new employee
Ensure the correct level of DBS is completed for all required

 

 

Generalist HR and Employee Life Cycle

Be the first point of contact for the HR department by managing the shared HR inbox for HR, L&D, and Recruitment queries, providing valuable advice and ensuring operational excellence.
Manage operational processes for the employee life cycle including administration of employee contracts and
Manage general ER cases and support the team with complex ER cases as and when
As a note taker in various meetings
Maintain accurate employee records and manage the shared
Manage sickness absence cases across the Club, including tracking and
Support the HR team in developing and maintaining the employee handbook, to include coordinating and maintaining the content and all related document updates.
Evaluate the usability of the online employee handbook, making recommendations for
Working with the HR team, review and embed HR
Manage the HR internal communications, including updating the intranet “The Shelf” regularly, ensuring that relevant documents, articles and policies are updated as and when required.
Compile data reports, to include monthly payroll changes, staff lists and other analytics necessary for business decisions and/or auditing
Support the HR team in the annual salary and bonus review
Assist the delivery of the overall HR department’s initiatives including rolling out online and face-to-face training and assessment centres
Provide logistical support for HR/L&D events as
Assist in resolving workplace conflicts and maintaining a positive working
Coordinate employee engagement activities and recognition programmes to foster a positive workplace

 

 

Payroll & Benefits Administration

Collate and prepare monthly payroll information and liaise with the Payroll department to ensure timely and accurate delivery
Support in the administration of employee benefits, including enrolments, changes, and
Respond to employee enquiries about payroll, benefits

 

 

Audit & Compliance

Complete DBS renewals in a timely manner and in accordance with the Club’s DBS policy
Support and assist Safeguarding and HR with various audits
Ensure the Club’s single central register is updated at all times
Support the HR team and client groups in compiling and preparing documentation for auditing
Update and maintain Training and Safeguarding
Ensure compliance with UK employment laws, company policies, and
Be a key contact for Safeguarding in the capacity of Designated Safeguarding Officer (DSO)
Complete required reporting

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

 

 

Demonstratable experience in a similar HR role, ideally within a fast-paced environment
Experience with an HRIS, ideally at a super user or senior admin level
Experience in preparing and collating payroll data
Good knowledge of MS Office
Has managed the lifecycle of HR processes across a varied workforce including casual workers, consultants, and volunteers
Able to prioritise tasks
Thrives working in a fast paced and ever-changing environment
Solid understanding of HR practice
Solid understanding of employment law
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and
