Position summary
FIFA and the Qatar LOC have created a new Joint Venture, which will be responsible for the operational delivery of the FIFA World Cup 2022TM.

The Access Manager will be responsible for planning and implementing operations relating to the key movements of persons holding an access device into and within the venues, ensuring efficient, safe and well planned ingress and circulation.

They will be responsible for providing security personnel with the tools to assist in the access control of accredited individuals through the provision of key information, training and equipment and be the main point of contact for all clients with access related questions and issues.

The access manager will lead a dedicated access management team across all official tournament venues.

 

Key responsibilities
 

  • Management, training and leadership of the access management team across all official venues including stadia, the International Media and Broadcast Centre and training sites.
  • Development, implementation and operation of access management policies and procedures for accredited individuals in line with the accreditation and safety and security concepts for the tournament, including access control point set up and entitlement resolution.
  • Coordinate with the Accreditation Department with regard to the access control of accreditation and associated troubleshooting.
  • Implementation and set up of the FIFA access management system including ensuring correct rule set up, access control equipment roll out to security personnel, training of all users, testing and onsite operations and troubleshooting.
  • Coordination of the integration of the Host Country’s security access control system (SACS) with key tournament systems such as accreditation and ticketing system. Monitoring of the SACS operation to ensure all clients can access venues as required.
  • Planning and mapping of key client flows, vertical transportation and ingress points onto venue maps and communication of flows and ingress points to all client groups via the provision of access manuals and access tours. This includes all flows and planned routes for disabled people and people with limited mobility.
  • Ensure all client flows, entrances and exits planned for disabled people and people with a limited mobility meet FIFA Accessibility Requirements.
  • Provision of key wayfinding information as required to FIFA/Q22 Signage and Dressing to ensure wayfinding on site is correct and as per all client flows. Ensure that all wayfinding meets FIFA Accessibility standards and requirements.
  • Facilitate additional and exceptional access requirements onsite and assist all client groups with any access related issues.
Qualifications and experience
Qualifications

  • University degree in an appropriate subject or demonstrable training/vocational training

Experience:

  • Minimum experience of 4-5 years in the international sport event industry, preferably within access management, accreditation, safety and security or venue management. Experience within football is an asset.
  • Operation and set up of complex access control systems within ticketing and/or accreditation
  • Wayfinding and route planning in a stadium environment
  • Leadership of a team during event operations
  • Demonstrative ability of managing multiple projects concurrently and under pressure
  • Writing of policies, procedures and operational plans

  • Ability to deliver high levels of customer service in pressurized situations
  • Confident project management with a proven ability to deliver results within specified deadlines and budgets.
  • A methodical and analytical approach to completing work, with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Creative and positive problem solving skills
  • English fluency – spoken and written (required)
  • Arabic fluency – an advantage
  • Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project)
  • Planning software and online collaboration tools (an asset)
