The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is the guardian of the Olympic Games and the leader of the Olympic Movement.

 

 

A truly global organisation, it acts as a catalyst for collaboration between all Olympic stakeholders, including the athletes, the National Olympic Committees (NOCs), the International Sports Federations (IFs), Organising Committees for the Olympic Games, the Worldwide Olympic Partners and Media Rights-Holders. It also works with public and private authorities, including the United Nations and other international organisations.

Join our team as the pivotal leader driving ethical excellence and good governance within the IOC Group and Olympic Movement. Take charge of implementing and supporting ethical principles, overseeing the IPACS initiative, and championing integrity across all fronts. Together, let’s make a meaningful impact on ethical practices and governance standards.

 

 

 

 

Role: 

 

 

 

Provide support to the IOC Group in regard to ethical and good governance principles

 

 

Support IOC departments with the implementation of the IOC Code of Ethics and its implementing provisions (e.g. Rules of Procedures, Code of Conduct, Register of Consultants).
In collaboration with other IOC departments, manage the IOC-recognised entities: recognition process, assessment, monitoring, awareness-raising, supporting recognised entities.
Manage the disclosure of interests for IOC members: declarations, development and improvement of the monitoring tool, and management of data to mitigate conflict of interest situations.
Manage complaints submitted to the Integrity Hotline, including follow-up situations outside the remit of the Ethics Commission.
Supervise the publication of the IOC Code of Ethics and its dissemination among the Olympic Movement (OM).
Provide input on the IOC Annual Report and coordinate the contributions of the Ethics and Compliance Office.
Supervise the IOC Register of Consultants for the Future Hosts of the Olympic Games/Youth Olympic Games and ensure it is up to date.
Contribute to integrating the Ethics and Compliance Office missions and its presence into the IOC administration.

 

 

 

IPACS – International Partnership Against Corruption in Sports

 

 

Manage the IPACS initiative to ensure that the Olympic Movement’s perspective is taken into account, in particular by ensuring that the content developed is relevant to the sports movement.
Ensure that appropriate promotion and prevention activities are conducted within the OM and serve as the main contact for other IPACS partners to ensure alignment of activities.
Supervise the IPACS Coordinator and the support office to ensure adequate content production, liaise with the OM stakeholders and with other IPACS partners.

 

 

 

Provide support to the Olympic Movement in regard to ethical and good governance principles

 

 

Manage the IOC’s initiatives to promote, raise awareness of, monitor and produce content to ensure that the principles of good governance are implemented within the Olympic Movement.
Provide support to the OM’s stakeholders with the implementation of the Basic Universal Principles of Good Governance and adhering to the IOC Code of Ethics.
Set up and support the Joint Integrity Unit’s activities before, during and after the Games (including serving as an alternative point of contact), ensuring that the Rules of Procedure for alleged violations are respected, and provide support to the Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer (CECO) within the case management process (assessment, interviews, analysis, measures, resolutions and/or disciplinary commission), including for cases inherent to the Olympic Movement Unit on Prevention of Manipulation of Competitions.

Experience in the sports movement is highly desirable, coupled with a track record of engagement with intergovernmental agencies and international entities.

Your fluency in English and exemplary command of spoken and written French will be instrumental in navigating our global initiatives. Additionally, familiarity with artificial intelligence tools and their potential challenges will set you apart.
