Job Description
Responsible To: Director, Corporate Partnership & Licesing Sales
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week
Probationary period: 6 months
Job Purpose
The Senior Manager, Sales will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing high-value sponsorship opportunities for our sports property. This position requires a motivated and results-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for sports business. The ideal candidate will have experience and a proven track record in sales, negotiation, and building long-term relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and Prospect: Research and identify potential sponsors that align with the values and audience of our sports property.
Develop Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing sponsors.
Create Proposals: Develop customized sponsorship proposals that meet the needs of both the sponsor and our organization.
Negotiate Agreements: Lead negotiations to secure high-value sponsorship deals, ensuring favorable terms for both parties.
Achieve Sales Targets: Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
Coordinate Activation: Work with internal teams to ensure successful activation and fulfillment of sponsorship agreements.
Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform sales strategies.
Reporting: Maintain accurate weekly updates in the sales CRM. Participate in weekly sales update meetings led by the Sales Director.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration, Sports Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales, preferably in sponsorship or sports marketing.
Strong sales and negotiation skills.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Ability to develop and maintain relationships with high-level executives.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
Knowledge of the sports industry and sponsorship landscap
Highly motivated and target-driven.
Creative and strategic thinking.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
