Job Description

 

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week

Probationary period: 6 months

 

 

 

Job Purpose

 

We are actively seeking a highly motivated and technically adept Junior Help Desk Coordinator with a strong passion for both technology and basketball. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation of our IT systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong aptitude for crisis management, and the ability to maintain composure under pressure. Additionally, this role may involve travel to provide on-site support during significant company events, including potentially covering the help desk during the Final Four, depending on the venue.

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

• Act as the initial point of contact for all IT-related inquiries and issues, delivering exceptional support to employees via phone, email, and in-person interactions.

• Efficiently manage and prioritize help desk tickets, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of technical issues.

• Configure, deploy, and maintain office IT infrastructure, including computers, software, network systems, and peripheral devices.

• Diagnose and resolve a diverse range of technical challenges, encompassing network connectivity, software malfunctions, and hardware failures.

• Provide comprehensive support for office-wide IT systems, including servers, VPNs, firewalls, and cloud-based services.

• Conduct routine maintenance and updates to IT systems, ensuring security and optimal performance across all platforms.

• Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT equipment, software licenses, and supplies, ensuring all assets are properly managed.

• Deliver training and technical support to employees on various software applications and IT tools, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical proficiency.

• Collaborate closely with the IT team to develop, implement, and enforce IT policies and procedures that align with company goals.

• Exercise sound judgment and strong crisis management skills in handling critical IT incidents, minimizing disruption to business operations.

• Provide on-site help desk support during key events, including the potential for travel to cover the help desk during the Final Four, depending on venue requirements.

• Contribute positively to the team environment, bringing enthusiasm, energy, and a cooperative spirit to the workplace.

 

 

 

Job Requirements

 

Technical Skills & Knowledge Required:

 

• Microsoft 365: Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Microsoft 365 workflows, including SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and other Office 365 applications.

• Office Tools: Extensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, ensuring seamless support for all users.

• Windows Operating Systems: Strong familiarity with Windows OS environments, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.

• Networking: Solid understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.

• Hardware: Experience with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a wide range of hardware, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.

• Security Practices: Knowledge of IT security best practices, including the implementation and management of firewalls, antivirus software, and data protection protocols.

• Cloud Technologies: Experience with cloud-based services, particularly within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, is highly desirable.

• IT Service Management (ITSM): Familiarity with ITSM tools and processes, such as ticketing systems, incident management, and change management.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

• Demonstrated passion for basketball and a strong sense of team spirit.

• Superior communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a diverse audience.

• Proven ability to manage and resolve IT-related crises with professionalism and efficiency.

• Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with IT systems, including networking, hardware, software, and cloud technologies.

• Experience in configuring and managing critical IT infrastructure, including servers, network devices, and security systems.

• Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) tools and best practices, with a commitment to continuous improvement.

• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment, and contribute to a positive workplace culture.

• A proactive and solution-oriented mindset, coupled with the ability to maintain composure under pressure.

• Flexibility and willingness to travel as needed to provide on-site IT support during major company event.

•Hold EU nationality and / or a valid residency / work permit for Spain.
