Main goal

 

 

UEFA is expanding its anti-piracy team to address one of the most dynamic challenges in the sports industry. If you are passionate about protecting the value of sports content, this is your opportunity!

 

 

 

Key responsibilities

 

 

Supporting the implementation of UEFA’s content protection strategy and programme
Coordinating and monitoring the daily operations of UEFA’s content protection service providers and monitoring agencies
Collecting, analysing and extracting key insights from technical and intelligence reports to inform strategic decisions
Preparing clear, data-driven reports and presentations based on monitored outputs
Assisting in the planning and execution of lobbying activities, stakeholder meetings and cooperation initiatives
Supporting the organisation of events, conferences and other outreach activities related to content protection
Providing regular updates and reporting to the Senior Expert and Head of Unit on all relevant matters
Performing other duties in relation to the day-to-day execution of content protection measures

 

 

 

Requirements

 

 

Experience:

 

Ideally, 4+ years’ experience in content protection, media rights enforcement, or digital anti-piracy operations, preferably within the sports or entertainment sectors.
We are also open to professionals from adjacent fields—such as media rights management, legal and regulatory affairs, or technology-driven environments—with exposure to issues related to content protection, and who demonstrate genuine enthusiasm for making a difference in this area.
In both cases, we value individuals who adapt to dynamic environments and face evolving challenges with curiosity and determination.

 

Education:

 

Bachelor’s or master’s in a relevant technical or legal field, particularly one related to digital content protection, media rights or intellectual property

 

Languages:

 

English / Proficient

 

Other requirements:

 

Highly versatile – comfortable working across different types of tasks and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities
A strong analytical mindset, curiosity and the motivation to develop within the role with purpose and agility will be essential
High degree of flexibility, responsiveness and intellectual curiosity
Able to solve problems and support the team in addressing emerging threats and opportunities
A clear understanding of the importance of protecting the value of sports content – and a determination to make a meaningful contribution to UEFA’s efforts in this field
