Main goal
The ICT Governance Expert helps enhance UEFA’s ICT performance by streamlining ICT processes and gets the best results from external ICT vendors.
Key responsibilities
General ICT delivery and lifecycle efficiency
Supporting long-term planning and road-mapping based on UEFA’s ICT and business strategies and stakeholder input
Establishing metrics for ICT performance that take account of constraints related to vendor services
Assisting ICT colleagues to improve the efficiency of their services
Running workshops and other activities to improve processes and related tools
Enhancing the existing documentation and creating new training and communication materials
Management and governance of vendors
Ensuring that processes, KPIs and metrics are of a high quality, with an emphasis on:
software development, deployment and support
infrastructure management
service desk and workplace operations
Ensuring critical knowledge retention by tools or people
Providing support on (ITSM) service definitions, best practices and related SLAs and KPIs
Getting more value for money from vendor activities
Enforcing contract governance and addressing or escalating any discrepancies, ensuring risks and issues are dealt with properly
Ensuring clear and efficient communication channels (tools or process)
Liaising with legal and financial teams on a regular basis
Requirements
Experience
At least 5 years’ experience of improving and implementing IT processes and IT organisation models
Previous experience in software engineering and major IT outsourcing would be a significant bonus
Education
Master’s degree in ICT or business administration, or an equivalent qualification
Governance-related certification such as CPCM, GRCP or CSMP or in IT frameworks like ITIL would be an asset
Languages
English: Proficient
French or any other European language would be an asset
Other requirements
Strong understanding of governance frameworks, excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Strong ability to influence without formal authority
Ability to cope with multiple stakeholders with conflicting goals and constraints
Knowledge of software delivery models / Advanced
Knowledge of vendor management processes / Intermediate
Knowledge of ITSM and related SLA and KPI concepts / Intermediate
Knowledge of IT frameworks such as ITIL and Cobit / Intermediate
