Main responsibilities

 

Assist with the global management and IP protection of the Olympic Properties, in connection with the IOC, the National Olympic Committees, the Organizing Committees for the Olympic and Youth Olympic Games and other members of the Olympic Movement.
Provide legal advice in respect to trademarks, designs, domain names, copyright and other IP assets’ clearance, registration and protection.
Provide legal advice on IP disputes related to IP registrations and other IP related matters (e.g. trademark oppositions, litigation, ambush marketing cases and other disputes).
Assist with the development of global policies and guidelines related to the Olympic Properties.
Assist with the drafting and negotiation of settlement, coexistence, license and other IP related agreements.
Assist with any other tasks or projects as needed by the IP Division.

 

 

Education; language and IT competences

 

Law degree. Qualified lawyer (member of a bar). Postgraduate studies (LL.M or master’s degree) on IP.
7+ years of post-qualification proven, progressive and relevant experience working as in-house or external counsel (law firm) in relation to trademarks and other IP rights and in respect to global portfolios.
Outstanding contractual drafting skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
English fluency, with excellent writing and speaking skills. Other languages will be a plus (Chinese, French, German, Italian…).
